A harness differs from a collar in that it takes the strain off of your dog’s neck and distributes it either across his/her chest or back. The main benefit of a harness is that it prevents injuries to your dog’s trachea, especially if he/she has a tendency to pull on the leash.

SIZING GUIDE – BOLD HARNESS

How to Measure – Finding the perfect fit can be tricky. Luckily, just like dogs, our Walk essentials come in all shapes and sizes. Check out our team’s recommendations for the style and size best suited to your pup!

Neck – Using a soft tape measure, begin measuring at the widest part of your pup’s neck (for most dogs, this will be nearest their shoulders). Place two fingers perpendicularly between your dog’s neck and the tape measure to ensure a comfortable fit.

Chest – Next, use the soft tape measure to measure at the widest part of your pup’s chest (for most dogs, this will be at the middle of their rib cage). Place 2 fingers perpendicularly between your dog’s body and the tape measure to ensure a comfortable fit.

I absolutely love this harness for my dog Simba ! Not only is it stylish, it is the only harness that is easy to put on my dog and it doesn’t slip off of her the way others did . Most importantly, I think it saved her life! Unfortunately Luna was attacked by another dog while we were on a walk. The other dog kept going for her neck and shoulders . This harness quite possibly saved my dogs life! When I was finally able to get a hold of my dog, I noticed her harness was bunched up by her neck. The other dog wasn’t able to get hold of her body, but only the harness . There were teeth marks on the harness, but due to the thickness , he was never able to puncture it. I was bitten very badly in the attack and truly think if this dog bit my dog the way he bit me, it could have been fatal. I will definitely order this in another color! Thank you for this wonderful product!
